We have researched and designed the highest quality materials- ensuring ultimate joint relief, durability and coziness. 

After intensive research, we found that egg crate sponge is more beneficial for dogs that need pressure relief and airflow for their joints. By distributing weight more evenly, the raised egg-crate design lessens pressure points on delicate joints. Because it keeps hips, elbows, and shoulders from being overly compressed, it is perfect for dogs with arthritis, elderly dogs, or any breed that wants that extra joint support, and dogs healing from surgery. After several testings, we found that memory foam sinked in too much causing pressure buildup over time. 

With its peaks and valleys, egg-crate sponge provides excellent ventilation, keeping the bed cooler and avoiding heat buildup—perfect for dogs who are prone to overheating. The dense structure of memory foam, on the other hand, retains heat, which can be uncomfortable for breeds with thick coats.

The egg-crate design is also more springy and responsive, which makes it simpler for dogs to get up and move around and less likely for them to sink too far. This is especially important for older dogs or dogs with arthritis or prone/have hip dysplasia. However, memory foam can be very soft, which makes it hard for elderly dogs with weak hind legs to move. Additionally, unlike memory foam, which tends to compress over time and provide less support, egg-crate sponge maintains its shape longer, continuously supporting the spine and joints.

To manage small spills and moisture, the regular Bhorbed has a water-resistant lining, then the boucle cover. 

Is BhorBed Non-skid? 

Indeed! Because of its robust design and non-skid base, Bhorbed is stable and challenging for dogs to pull about. For dogs that have joint problems, this is especially crucial since it gives them a stable platform on which to enter and exit their bed.

Is BhorBeds only for dogs with joint issues? 

Absolutely not! Orthopedic beds offer vital support for elderly pets and help young dogs avoid joint problems. Investing in your dog's joint health is something you should do at any time! Infact, our small size is perfect for cats too!

Is BhorBeds indestructible?

No bed is completely indestructible, despite its exceptional durability. Bhorbed is not meant for excessive chewing or scratching, but rather for sleeping and relaxing.

When will my order be shipped out?

All in-stock items are shipped out within 1 to 2 business days of your order being placed. Orders placed over the weekend will be shipped the following Monday, or the following working day if Monday is a holiday.

Our products typically take three to five business days to arrive after shipping. Please be aware that rural and regional locations might take longer. 

How can I track my order?

You will receive an email with tracking details and a tracking link as soon as your bed is sent.

What if my bed doesn’t arrive?

As long as we have proof that the package was delivered to the right address, BhorBed won't be held accountable for any missing packages. Every delivery we make is accompanied by a proof of delivery photo. Please contact our helpful staff if you think your Bhorbed was delivered to the wrong address, and we will assist you immediately.

How can I return a Bhorbed?

Within 14 days after delivery, you can return or exchange your Bhorbed if it hasn't been opened and is still in its vacuum seal. Get in touch with us at hello@bhorbeds.co.nz to start a return. The buyer is liable for the cost of return shipping. The processing of refunds could take up to ten business days.

Can I open an item and then return it?

We are unable to accept returns once the vacuum seal has been opened for hygienic reasons. Please keep the bed sealed and contact us if you have any questions about the size.

How do I wash a BhorBed? 

Since we are aware that our furry friends don't place a high value on cleanliness, we created Bhor Beds with convenience in mind! For effortless cleaning, our beds come with a machine-washable, detachable cover. Just unzip the cover and use a mild detergent to wash it on a soft cycle. Specifically, cool wash or hand wash is even better. Boucle fabric's basis can be quite tightly knit, and it may shrink or lose its shape if washed in a warm environment. Since the egg crate foam is lined, it is not necessary to wash it because doing so could weaken its structure.

Hang the cover in the shade and let it dry inside out for optimal results. You can spot-clean stains as needed if you're not prepared for a whole wash. Reassemble the bed only when the cover has dried completely.

We provide a minimum 5-year warranty against egg-crate foam sagging and a 12-month warranty against manufacturing problems.
